Submission Guidelines

To submit a lullaby in your language to us, record the video based on the instructions below

Video recording instructions

Record the video in a horizontal format

Don’t stand too close,
measure about 2 arm distance from the singer

Light the singer’s face from the front. Avoid backlighting and shadows on their face.

Avoid recording in a noisy environment. Make sure you are in quiet premises so that the video properly records the person who is singing.

If your lullaby has a title and a story, share a brief explanation in a couple of sentences within 15 seconds.

The recording should between
30 seconds to 5 minutes long,
with at least 2 stanzas.

Text Submission Needed

Same Language Subtitles

Write down the exact lines in the same language of the audio of the lullaby for us to add Same Language Subtitles to it.

Translation

We will need sentence by sentence translation in (English or Hindi).

Summary

If possible, a summary blurb of what the lullaby is about in either English or Hindi.

Consent and identity

Mention the name of the person, village, state and language they are singing in when you share the video.

We would also ask you whether the person in the video has consented to sharing the video with us for further use on social media and other media sources so, do make sure you have asked their permission for sending it over.

Clearly communicate why the photographs are being clicked and how they would be used in future. Ensure the community understands the context, especially if the images would be shared publicly or online.
